Adventist Mission

What Does Mission Look Like In Your Everyday Life?

Mission doesn’t always look like preaching a sermon, giving a Bible study, planting a church, or travelling overseas.

Sometimes, mission looks much simpler — and much closer to home.

It can look like turning your hobby into a way to serve others. Choosing kindness toward someone you don’t know. Making sure someone who often goes unnoticed feels seen and valued. Mentoring a young person. Creating a space where people can find friendship and community. Sharing your faith naturally at work. Or simply asking a colleague who is going through a difficult time, “Would you like me to pray for you?”

Mission can happen around a table, at work, at school, in your neighbourhood, at the gym, through your hobbies, or in the relationships God has already placed in your life.

It can be a simple action, an intentional conversation, an act of service, or the beginning of something bigger.

What if something you already love doing could become a ministry?
What if a simple idea could create community?
What if noticing one person could make a difference in their life?
What if God could use what is already in your hands?

You don’t need to wait for a mission trip, a church program, or a special role to live on mission. Mission can start right where you are, with what you have, and with the people around you.

Maybe you’re already living mission in a way that could inspire someone else. Or maybe there’s an idea God has placed on your heart that you’re ready to start.

We want to hear your story.

Share what mission looks like in your everyday life — big or small, established or just beginning — and help others discover that they, too, can find their place in God’s mission.
