Better Equipped for Mission: Explore the Global Mission Centers Courses
Our communities are becoming increasingly diverse. Every day, we interact with neighbours, colleagues, friends and families from different cultures, religions and worldviews. But how well do we understand the people around us?
The Global Mission Centers, through the Adventist Learning Community, offer practical online courses designed to help Seventh-day Adventists better understand people from different religious and cultural backgrounds and engage with them in thoughtful, respectful and meaningful ways.
These are not lengthy academic programs. They are accessible introductions that provide a basic understanding of different beliefs and cultures while helping participants develop greater confidence in building genuine relationships across cultural and religious differences.
Learning to build bridges

Their areas of focus include people from Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, South Asian, secular and post-Christian backgrounds, as well as ministry within urban contexts.
Through these courses, participants have an opportunity to grow in their understanding of the people they may already encounter at work, in their neighbourhood, at school or in their wider community.
Find a course that connects with your world
Think about your own community.
Do you have Muslim colleagues or neighbours? Friends from a Buddhist or South Asian background? Do you live in a highly secular community where traditional approaches to mission may not easily connect with people?
Choose an area that relates to the people around you and start learning.
The goal is not simply to gain information. It is to become better prepared to listen, understand, build genuine friendships and share Christ with sensitivity and respect.
